Dutton Furious That Cumberland Council Stole His Election Ban/Plan

Opposition leader, the Dark Lord Peter Dutton, has spent the day seething after learning that Cumberland city council had stolen his idea to start banning LGBTQIA+ based books in the local library.

”Peter is not a happy man at the moment, though to be fair he’s not usually a happy man, unless he has a puppy in his hands to strangle,” said a confidante of the Dark Lord. ”We’d planned to call for book banning’s in the lead up to the election, get a culture war or two started.”

”But, now this bloody council stole our bit and we’ll have to think of another minority to kick.”

When reached for comment on Cumberland Council’s book banning, the Dark Lord said: ”Usually I’d applaud a local council for showing initiative to help to divide and rile up the community.”

”But not this time. Book banning is my idea, the former Trump advisors that I get advice from had drafted up a plan for me to do so closer to the election.”

”Now, I have to go back to the drawing board and find another minority to kick.”
