Former Special Envoy for the Man Drought Barnaby Joyce has called for more women to enter into parliament. Declaring that there was a real shortage of ‘top line’ talent wandering the halls of parliament house.
“As the Father of four daughters and husband to at present two wives, I’m calling for all sides of parliament to do their best to get more female talent into the house,” said the Member for New England. “I mean the other day I was walking through parliament and I saw a good set of legs in a pair of bike pants and I was going to ‘introduce’ myself, then they turned around it was bloody Kevin Andrews.”
“I mean credit to him he has a great set of pins, but come on.”
When asked why the sudden interest in equal representation in parliament the Member for New England replied: “Now that I’m a mere backbencher I have a lot of time on my hands, if you know what I mean.”
“I mean before the election I used to have old mate Tony Abbott to keep me company but he’s gone now and his replacement Zali Steggall whilst a good sort ain’t too chatty.”
“Now if you’ll excuse me I’m off to meet with ScoMo to have a chat about this bonk ban of his.”
