Australia’s chief employer of defamation lawyers, Alan Jones has called for laws to be changed so that women are made to run their tweets past a male for approval, prior to posting them.
“Women are emotional creatures, and they need the steadying hand of a man to guide them in the right direction,” said Alan Jones. ”I mean, look at the women I’ve had to call out over the years – Julia Gillard, Yassmin Abdel-Magied, Jacinda Ardern, and now this one in Victoria talking about Captain Cook.”
“They need to think before they tweet. Otherwise they put their fathers in grave danger of dying of shame.”
When asked why he was calling for restrictions on free speech, and particularly the free speech of women, Alan Jones said: “You will not find a bigger advocate for free speech than myself. It’s just that people (in particular, women) need to understand that they are only free to speak if they agree with me.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to purchase some hessian sacks for all those women who tweet independently.”
