Prime Minister ScoMo has moved to assure his cabinet colleagues that besieged Defence Minister Linda Reynolds is ok after not being seen in the office for a couple of weeks. The Prime Minister told cabinet that he has taken Minister Reynolds to a ‘farm’ in the country.
”Linda is out bush with a lovely couple and will live out the rest of her days on the farm,” said the Prime Minister. ”I know a lot of people would like to visit Linda and ask her all sorts of questions, but at this stage it’s best if we giver her some space.”
“It’s not easy you know going from the Canberra bubble to out bush.”
When asked why he was so quick to write off Minister Reynolds as opposed to Attorney General Christian Porter, the Prime Minister said: ”I reject the premise of your question.”
”I don’t write off anybody, I will stand beside you till the end.”
“Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to discuss overseas ambassadorial appointments with Josh. We need someone in Siberia, I wonder if Porter’s passport is up to date.”
