NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has warned residents of NSW to start shelling out more of their pay packets on the pokies or else she will start selling off their toys.
”The people of NSW need to realise that the Government needs money to do stuff,” said the Premier. ”I mean do you know how much ICAC alone is costing us?”
”So, I implore people to crack open the kiddies piggy bank and head down to your local rissole and drop some coin……well, notes would be better but we won’t say no to coins.”
When asked why the Government was seemingly overlooking the social problems associated with gambling in favor of the revenue, the Premier said: ”Well duh, so we lose a few bankrupt peeps a year to gambling addiction, but look how much sweet cashola we get in return.”
”Come on NSW get on board with the pokies, so that I don’t have to do anything silly like sell off the Opera house.”
