Australians have united and all agreed to chip in and buy the current PM, Scotty-from-Marketing a one way ”Holiday” to Hawaii, – the feeling being that the country tends to run better when the PM is overseas.

“Yeah, I think it’s for the best if ScoMo … is that the nickname that he gave himself? Anyway, yeah it’s better if Old Mate goes away for a while,” said a Sydney resident. “I mean, we got through the bushfires without him, so this pandemic thing should be fine.”

When reached for comment on the nation’s offer of a free one-way trip to Hawaii, the PM said: ”To all those Australians who have given generously to the “Send ScoMo to Hawaii” fund, I thank you.”

”It’s heartening to see that all my hard work is being recognised. Why, just last week I had to turn up to work on two days, one of which was a Friday!”

”So, this little getaway is quite appreciated.”

”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to knock up a going-away curry for social media…….and Jen and the girls of course.”
