Aspiring Shadow Minister for Home Affairs Barnaby Joyce has expanded his outlook and headed to Taiwan to work on the possibility of a foreign affair.

”What an opportunity to press the flesh, so to speak, in Taiwan,” said the Member for New England. ”It’s a long way from Armidale, that’s for sure. But, as they say, love is the universal language.”

”How do you say “Do ya root?” in Mandarin?”

When asked why the Shadow Minister for Veterans Affairs had any business travelling to Taiwan, Barnaby said: ”A free trip’s a free trip! You can’t expect me to spend the summer months at home with the missus and kids?!”

”Besides, Penny Wong and I have a lot in common. She could be my wing man – sorry, wing person … or Wong person, eh, eh!”

”Anyway, am off. Got places to go and people to see. I wonder if Four Floors of Whores is also in Taiwan?!”
