Party That Campaigned On Sacking 41,000 Public Servants Pissed That They Will Lose Staff

The last federal election’s biggest losers, the Coalition, have chucked a massive tanty after being told by the Prime Minister that them losing seats results in losing staff.

”It’s a bloody outrage and I won’t stand for it,” ranted the shadow minister for home affairs, Barnaby Joyce. ”We come to parliament and we need staff. Not just to do stuff but also to be that shoulder to cry on.”

”I mean how will the next generation of interns get mentored, if you know what I mean.”

When asked why a party that went backwards at the election should get more staff, the shadow minister for home affairs said: ”Who’s going to hold the interns, err the Government to account.”

”Albo shouldn’t get free reign of the country, he needs to be answerable to the people.”

”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to go and pick out my office staff from the pool. Can’t risk being stuck with uggo’s.”
