The current civil unrest in America has forced Australian Prime Minister Scotty from Marketing to rethink his upcoming family vacation to Hawaii.
”I had promised the kids a bit of get away. You know, it’s been a busy year – what with parliament sitting for a couple of weeks,” said Prime Minister Scotty. ”But mate, I called up The Don and said ”What’s Hawaii looking like?’ and, well, he didn’t go the hard sell on me.”
”I tried to get the Queensland Premier to open up the borders, as the kids do like Noosa, but Anastacia wasn’t that cooperative.”
When asked if the middle of a pandemic was the best time to be planning a holiday, Prime Minister Scotty said: ”Gee, I’m damned if I do, damned if I don’t! Pardon the French.”
”Look, as PM I put in the hard yards, I burn for this country, so I think I’m due 2 or 3 or even 4 holidays a year!”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to Kmart to stock up on some new pool toys. People think Hawaii is all about the beaches, but the pools are pretty alright too.”
