The Government’s Minister for Manila George Christensen has offered to go into quarantine in Manila the capital of the Philippines prior to flying to Canberra for the next sitting of parliament.
”In these pandemic times, everyone has to do what they can,” said Mr Christensen. ”Therefore, I am willing to be away from my family, constituents and the prying eyes of the media to quarantine in Manila.”
“‘Whilst I’m away. I will use my time to reach out and touch some of the locals.”
When asked why he couldn’t quarantine in his own electorate of Dawson or Canberra, Mr Christensen said: ”I’ve spent a lot of time lately at home. It feels like ages since I was in anything, let alone Manila.”
”Besides, the people of Manila have been doing it tough. It’s time for the sex pests, er, tourists to get back there and drop some coin.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to the bank to exchange some cash for pesos.”
