Cricket Australia has today demanded that the Morrison Government bail out all Australian cricketers who lost money due to the cancellation of this year’s IPL tournament.
”Some of the boys have missed out on hundreds of thousands of dollars after the tournament got canned,” said a Spokesperson for Cricket Australia. ”The poor blokes then had to get themselves to the Maldives, which isn’t cheap.”
”So, the least the Australian Government can do is sling them a couple of million each just to keep them going through the winter.”
When asked why the public should bail out the cricketers when it was their choice to travel during a pandemic, the Spokesperson said: ‘Oh come on, what else is the Government going to do with it’s money?”
”You give a cricketer cash and they will spend it, houses in Sydney aren’t cheap you know.”
”Also, who else but Slats is buying Ferraris in this climate?”
The Morrison Government could not be reached for comment as they were busy setting up his latest photo shoot.
