Interim NSW Premier Dominic Perrotet has jetted off to Japan for a trade mission, but not before promising the State’s number one citizen John Barilaro that he would pick up some duty free gear for him.
”A lot of NSW people are doing it tough, none more so than old mate John Barilaro,” said the interim Premier. ”The poor bloke missed out on his dream job and though he’s had a few wins in the court after you take out lawyer’s fees you’re only left with a few hundred thousand.”
”So, hopefully a bottle of Tia Maria and a carton of smokes will cheer him up immensely.”
When asked whether he or any of his Ministers would be resigning over the Barilaro jobs debacle, the interim Premier said: ”Hang on, no one’s resigning or being investigated by ICAC.”
”It’s all a little misunderstanding, that will hopefully be sorted soon and everyone can get on with their lives.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, my plane is boarding and I wanna grab an extra pair of first class PJ’s for John, I think he’s a large but might get extra-large just in case.”
