Opposition leader (for now) Peter Dutton has called upon the Albanese Government to appoint former Minister for everything, everywhere, all at once, Scott Morrison, as Governor of the Reserve Bank.
”I don’t want to see some qualified public servant or well credentialed person from industry parachuted into the roll,” said the Opposition leader. ”This is a roll for ScoMo, he’s held pretty much every ministry in parliament, so why can’t he lead the RBA.”
”Also, this appointment has the added benefit of getting him out of parliament.”
When asked if he was worried about losing his job should the Coalition lose this weekend’s Fadden by-election, Peter Dutton said: ”I am sick to death of all the negativity and smears put out by the Labor party.”
”Robodebt this, Royal Commission that, endemic corruption here there and everywhere.”
”I just want to get out there and do what’s best for this country. That is, shout down Albo and say no to everything.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a meeting with ScoMo about his future and have to buy a car battery and some jumper cables before that happens.”
