Dutton Tells Press To Leave Him Alone Till It’s Time To Whinge About Australia Day

Australia’s part-time Opposition leader, Peter Dutton, has threatened Australia’s press to leave him alone over the festive season, and only contact him when it is time to start the annual whinge fest that is how to celebrate Australia Day.

”I’ve told the press to get behind nuclear so now is the time for myself to retreat to my lair and recuperate,” said Opposition leader Dutton. ”It has been a trying year, as in I’ve been trying to become PM.”

”Why aren’t you laughing? Angus always laughs at my little quips.”

When asked why he seemed to always disappear after making an announcement that is seemingly light on details, Opposition leader Dutton said: ”That is just not true.”

”No one has answered more questions this year from journalists than myself.”

‘”Why just the other week I was forced to answer the hard questions from that respected (sic) interviewer Ray Hadley.”

”Ray asked the hard questions like, how are you? Would you like to grab dinner? May I be the big spoon? You don’t see Anthony Albanese being interviewed like that.”
