A relieved Prime Minister Scotty from marketing has revealed the recent trade disputes between Australia and China is a simple misunderstanding after China answered Australia’s text with, “New phone who dis?”
“I do admit I was a bit worried when Birmo (Trade Minister Simon Birmingham) kept telling me that they weren’t answering his calls,” said the Prime Minister. “So, I got on the blower myself and after no answer, I shot them a text and got the reply, new phone who dis.”
”A simple misunderstanding, we just had the wrong number.”
When asked if he genuinely believed if having the wrong number was the cause of the Australia China angst, the Prime Minister said: “Of course I do, I said that’s the reason, so that’s the reason.”
”These things happen all the time. I get the same reply when I text Malcolm Turnbull, Tony Abbott and Julia Banks.”
”Come to think of it maybe it’s time I got someone other than Matthias Cormann to enter numbers in to my phone.”
