Prime Minister Scotty from marketing has extended his well wishes to those in Victoria currently in lockdown and he hopes that they will take inspiration from his trip over the weekend to the footy to watch his beloved Cronulla Sharks.
“I know good honest Australians are doing it tough right now in Victoria and to them I say, chin up, one day you too will get to watch the footy live,” said the Prime Minister. “Sure, it will be AFL or aerial ping pong as that bloke at the game described it over the weekend.”
“But no judgement form me.”
When asked if it was a bad look for the Prime Minister to be attending a football game whilst part of the country was in lockdown, the Prime Minister said: “Not according to the polls.”
“Look, the Australian people understand that I’m taking a week off to spend time with Jenny and the girls. In fact it was their suggestion that I get out of the house and go watch the bloody football.”
“Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to make a post game trip to Maccas Engadine.”
