Australian Prime Minister Scotty from marketing has sent besieged NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian a Bunnings gift card in an effort to lift her spirits after a torrid week.
”In politics, some weeks are better than others and I just wanted to let Gladys know that I’m thinking of her and all the great deals she will be able to take advantage of at Bunnings,” said Prime Minister Scotty. ”Who knows, maybe she will buy an inflatable Santa Claus riding a shark to decorate her home.”
”Or maybe she can buy a chicken coop, they make great decorations when you’re for a photo shoot.”
When asked whether he was paid to endorse Bunnings given his constant talk of the company, the Prime Minister said: ”I reject the premise of your question.”
”Bunnings is a great company, that tested highly with the focus groups that my team ran when putting together their pitch of the daggy Dad.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to be off to make an appearance at my number 2 favourite destination, after Bunnings of course, Engadine Maccas. It’s chocolate thick shake time, if you know what I mean.”
