The Labor party is tipped to announce later this week that former Test cricketer turned Commentator Michael Slater will replace Anthony Albanese as Opposition leader as Albo looks to go back and focus on his Djing.
”Albo’s heart has never really been in it so here’s a chance for him to go back and do what he does best, DJ.” said an ALP Insider. ”Already Michael Slater or Slats as we will brand him has come out firing in his new role, despite not even being in the country.”
“ScoMo versus Slats, bring it on.”
When asked why the ALP was looking at drafting a former Cricketer as leader, the ALP Insider said: ”We’ve had singers and media personalities so why not Sportspeople?”
”Having Slats as Captain of our team means it’s one less sport Scotty from marketing can have his picture taken at.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, Albo is Djing at this underground warehouse party and he’s put me on the door.”
