Aspiring Minister for Home Affairs and self-appointed ”leader” of the Nationals Barnaby Joyce has told the Nation’s farmers to not worry too much about the mice plague as it isn’t affecting the miners.
”The Nationals are the best friend the Farmers will ever have,” said the Member for New England. ”We will always be there for them, just as long the mining industry doesn’t need us.”
”Is this interview going to take long as I need to run out and grab a coffee for my dear friend Gina Rinehart….and you know what Gina’s like if she has to wait for her coffee.”
When asked why there was no urgency from the Government to help farmers deal with the mice plague, the Member for New England said: ”We are on top of it. I mean it is definitely on my to do list, not in the top 10 or 20 things or people to do but it’s definitely in the top 50.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I really must get this coffee for Gina….she won’t be happy if she has to wait or worse if it’s cold.”
