Australia’s Prime Minister Scotty who was fired from marketing was shocked when he was told by one of his team of pollsters that the Australian public where not big fans of lying or liars.
”Yeah, the PM was a bit stunned when we showed him the results from our focus groups,” said Brent Smythe Barry from the Marketing group Get A Poll Up Ya. ”Poor Scott, err ScoMo, just assumed that everyone was cool with his constant lies.”
”We had to take some drastic measures and get Jen to sit down with him and explain how it is always preferable to tell the truth.”
When reached for comment on his reaction to being told that no one likes a liar, the PM said: ”Well I reject the premise of your question.”
”If you look in the dictionary for a definition of honesty you will see my picture.”
”Admittedly that is a special dictionary that my colleagues got me as a going away gift when I was forced to leave Tourism Australia but still it’s there.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go to Engadine Maccas and not lie to them about who messed up the toilets.”
