Australian Prime Minister Scotty who was fired from marketing has told colleagues that he is close to convincing children’s toy Elf On A Shelf to run at the next Federal Election in the seat of Warringah.
“How good is Elf On A Shelf?” Asked the PM. ”Jen and the girls introduced me to him on the weekend.”
”He’s got the makings of a political superstar, all those photo opportunities.”
When asked if he was seriously considering running an inanimate object for parliament, the PM said: ”Well we’ve put up Kevin Andrews as a candidate before.”
”Elf On A Shelf is what Australia needs right now. A silent fellow who takes a great photograph and provides a hell of a distraction.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m meeting the Elf On A Shelf at Engadine Maccas, wait till you see the photo shoot that we will cook up.”
