News Corp Australia has launched it’s new initiative, operation polish a turd, with a series of flattering articles in their weekend papers praising the performance of Opposition leader Peter Dutton.
”For some reason Rupert and his billionaire mates think Pete’s the one, so now we need to make the public believe it,” said a News Corp operative. ”We did it with the weirdo that was Abbott so let’s get going on this.”
”Hopefully people will think monsters are cool again.”
When asked why the media was seemingly looking through rose coloured glasses at Dutton, the News Corp operative said: ”Pete’s not such a bad bloke, I mean he’s not a monster, well at least his current wife says he’s not a monster.”
”Besides, we’re bored with Albo, time for a change.”
”Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go out and buy another puppy for a Peter photo shoot. Dutts strangled the last one.”
